Description

A tool for managing and purging metadata in PDF files.

Features

• Renames PDF files with consistent metadata
• Removes orphaned metadata tags
• Generates thumbnails from PDF files

Interface

The UI should be self-explanatory. The PDFMtEd Editor has fields for author, title, year, keywords, and subject. The PDFMtEd Inspector shows the current metadata values.

CLI Tool

Call pdfmted-thumbnailer to generate thumbnails: pdfmted-thumbnailer <file(s) or folder(s)>

Known Issues

• YAD GTK2 build has a bug that prevents text labels from aligning properly. To fix, compile and install GTK3 version of YAD.
