Trace Labs Kali Linux Build Configuration

Overview A recipe file to build a Linux OSINT Distribution for Trace Labs based on Kali Linux live-build-config.

Changes Made

• Created a folder for Tracelabs under kali-config/variant-tracelabs/package-lists/kali-list.chroot
• Created osint-packages.chroot file to include installation steps for all git repositories
• Created folders for applications, backgrounds, desktop-directories, and firefox-esr/distribution

Build Steps

Building the ISO File on Docker

• Run: docker build -t tlvm .
• Run: docker run --privileged -v $(pwd)/data:/data tlvm

Building the ISO File on Debian Host or Debian VM

• Setup: Clone repository and change directory
• Run: sudo ./build_tracelabsiso_recipe.sh
• Create a .iso file in /opt/live-build-config/images

OVA Download

• Version 1.0 of this build available as an OVA file
• Default credentials to log in: osint:osint
